Gold brooch for the most crowded Moncofa al Carrer

SUM Rock to close the theater, music, film and animation festival Moncofa al Carrer in the best possible way. The musicians of the Societat Unió Musical Santa Cecilia de Moncofa (SUM) and the artist Gustavo Paradís brought together hundreds of people last night at the closing concert of Moncofa al Carrer. The mayor, Wences Alós Valls and Ilenia Begnozzi presented a detail to the music band and Gustavo Paradís for their performance and commitment. Both, satisfied, pointed out that 'the response from the public and the sensations we have had this year has filled us with enthusiasm to continue programming future editions and shows that betting on culture is the best way to bring Moncofa's summer to life. In the shows we have seen neighbors and visitors who have had a great time and this is undoubtedly the best balance we can make'.

The event was attended by the Minister of Environment, Water, Infrastructure and Territory, Salomé Pradas, the provincial deputy for Culture, Álex Clausell, and the national deputy, Óscar Clavell, among other authorities, in addition to the members of the local corporation and neighboring municipalities.

Unfortunately, the concert had to end early due to the episodes of rain that already took place during the afternoon.

Moncofa al Carrer has brought hundreds of people to the streets in each of the performances that have taken place since last Sunday, the 20th. In addition to the final performance, the cultural event has also featured local artists, such as Mago Carolus, who with his Art of Magic kicked off a week of culture in the streets. Street and itinerant shows have delighted the audience. A good example was 'Aquiles', by the company La Fam, and 'Rum Rum Trasto Karts', by Xip Xap. Theater with the street as a stage has been combined with circus. 'Oníricus' by La Troupé Malabo was an example, as was 'Carman' by Javier Ariza. The public space has also been the setting for the best summer cinema. The films 'Cruella' and 'Yesterday' have been screened. A mix between theater and circus, 'Sin Miedo' by Maintomano, also arrived.

Summer in Moncofa does not end with Moncofa al Carrer. La Mar d'Activitats continues in September with the gastronomic days of rice and paella, children's shows, night walks through the village to learn about its history and heritage, playgrounds and activities for the little ones, theater, storytelling and exhibitions in the Pleamar hall.
